Prevage Review

Prevage is a line of anti-aging skin care products designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce roughness and dryness, and improve the skin's elasticity and firmness. It is also purported to fade freckles, age spots, and other discolorations.

Prevage skin care products are made by Elizabeth Arden, a company that produces and sells perfumes, cosmetics, and skin care products.

What is Prevage?

Prevage anti-aging products were developed jointly through Elizabeth Arden and an unnamed dermatological research company. The primary Prevage anti-wrinkle cream shows promising results through clinical testing, including a 59% reduction in fine lines and wrinkles after 8 weeks of use and a 72% reduction in the skin's dryness and roughness after 8 weeks of use. In the clinical trial that produced these results, Prevage was used by 26 men and women between the ages of 35 and 60.

The manufacturer touts an ingredient called Idebenone as the most powerful substance in Prevage anti-aging cream; Idebenone is a potent antioxidant the corrects and prevents degenerative damage to cells due to harmful environmental substances.

At $155 for a 1.7 ounce bottle, Prevage is one of the more pricey anti-wrinkle treatments currently for sale. Does Prevage Work?

The results of the clinical trial with 26 patients show that Prevage works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for the majority of users. Many patients in the trial also noted improvements in their skin's texture, tone, and coloration.

Prevage did not show visible results for every participant in the clinical trial, however. About 30% of the patients reported no difference in visible fine lines and wrinkles after 8 weeks of regular use.

While Prevage may be beneficial in treating the signs of aging for many people, it does not work for every user, and at $155 per bottle, it is expensive. To see our top recommendations, click here.
